tylerjafelice7 One of my favourite Ontario bands. I grew up on bands like Anberlin so hearing that sound mixed with twinkly emo is just a dream come true. Favorite track: Momentary.

Star Signs 03:26
i was afraid i'd get stuck in the middle, caught in between what feels so good and what i know is so wrong. i know it’s so wrong. let's take time to figure it out. if you didn't know, then why did you say you thought we could turn it around? it would be easier to just tell the truth. oh, i guess it's hard to decide. yeah, you can never make up your mind. don't you dare blame it on your star sign. won't you own up to it tonight? and i'm still stuck in the middle with you. oh, just tell me the truth — it's the only thing i need from you. what's this about? can we take the time to figure it out? just tell me the truth — if you didn't know, then why did you say you thought we could turn it around? oh, can we turn this around? it'd be easier. should be easier. it should be easy to just tell me the truth. this should be easy.

Lilac 03:11
we wake up to the same news every morning, always in mourning. the loss. we're all so goddamn lost, abandoned by the ones who swore they'd keep us safe, then left us in the dark. i've been high for days and i can't feel a goddamn thing. is it better or worse that way? barely alive inside the hell we made. we'll say, "what a year." we'll send our thoughts and prayers. and we'll do the same come january if we make it there. i stayed high for days and days (and days and days and days). i don't remember anything. is it better or worse that way? barely alive inside the hell we made. we're burying alive all of the dreams we stayed alive to see. we'll never see the day. forever young. white lilacs grow where your body lays.
3.
The Truth 02:56
hey, what are you waiting for? isn't it about time that you considered the door? gets harder to wake every day when the truth gets spat from the mouth of a liar. off with her head. the clock's ticking. smile and nod. time's up — you're already gone. the truth hurts: you've got nobody who loves you. every time that i try, you're turning me to stone. but you don't know how hard i'll fight. you won't break me, no. off with her head. you best believe you've got what's coming. you best believe it, medusa.
4.
can we stay here all night, sleepless with you by my side? i'll watch the moonlight dance on your lips. you caught me staring again. you caught me wondering how you keep your perfect composure. i'll never find someone who shines like you. glitter and gold. i'll let everyone know that you're my light, so don't let me go. you're my glitter gold. there’s diamonds in your eyes. and it seems that i can't quite tell why you fought against my hand on your heart. your love is so shy. i'll never find someone who shines like glitter and gold. i'll let everyone know that you're my light, so don't let me go. you’re my glitter and gold. there’s diamonds in your eyes. you're the moon in my sky. i feel the waves shift the tides of my mind. almost washed away, but you're not lost at sea if you're lost with me. you're safe in my arms. don't let me go. i know that you're my light, so don't let me go. i know i'll never shine without you in my arms, in my life.

Daydreams 03:27
when you give me those eyes, there's only one thing on your mind. i know the reason that i'm on your mind. and when you're parting your seas, no commandment could keep me holy. don't pray for me. you know exactly what you're doing to me. your wandering hands. i want you bad. i know what you think when you fall asleep. i know what you want — tell me that it's me. i know what you see in your daydreams, so i'll see you in your daydreams. your skin on my skin. your sin on my sin. let me in. i want to hear you say my name in the worst way. can't keep my composure; i want you all over me. and when you're doing what you're doing to me, can't stop my wandering hands. oh god i want you bad.
6.
Momentary 02:57
never do i try as hard as i can; always let love slip right through my hands. and in time, i'll try to sit by the side now watching you, watching you dance. i wish that just for a moment...never did go according to plan; always held back on all that we had. kind of feels just like how it began — one foot in the door while we're holding hands. i wish that just for a moment that i could forget just how you feel. and all the time that we spent here felt like moments to me. stay and see. how can i forget the sweet sound of your voice in my head — a perfect melody. how can i erase the lies you told, a smile on your face — so pure, so innocent. stay and see.

Ever Elsewhere’s new EP The Homes We’ve Known captures the sounds of an uncertain growing up. It’s about the pieces of yourself you leave behind — the places you leave them, and the people you leave them with. For the band’s members, those pieces are scattered across the different corners of southern Ontario they’ve found home in over the years, from childhood houses to abandoned venues to neighbourhood parks. Produced by Anton DeLost (Seaway, Bearings, Into It. Over It.), there’s a musical curiosity to the EP that sees the band pushing themselves to explore different directions while still keeping a sound that feels comfortably their own. The six songs are filled with moments of longing, wistfulness, and frustration with an unrelenting world — but there’s a lightness to it too, a breath, a sense that we’ll get through the growing pains together. Maybe everything will be okay in the end after all.
